Yes. The Hideaway telescopes in length so most short bed truck owners collapse the platform length for driving to fit in the bed. Then when they get to camp they pop the tailgate down and lengthen the platform to 6 feet for sleeping. Flat, stable, no wobble.

Yes, we made it easy to do this. The Double 40 and Double+ 48 have a overhang on both sides of the platform for just this reason. The Solo 24 and Solo + 30 don't have an overhang. To move these all the way to one side just replace the middle leg that bumps against the wheel well with one of the included shorter legs. We include a small adjustable leg and a stubby, non adjustable leg that's as short as can be.

None. The Hideaway V2 requires no drilling, no tools, and no permanent changes to your vehicle. It snaps together, adjusts in height, and comes out just as fast. Your Tacoma stays your Tacoma.
