Sleeping Platforms

Got this for an upcoming month-long camping trip. The Hideaway went together easily, fit perfectly in my van, and appears to be perfect for my intended use.

This set up is as comfortable as sleeping at home. It fits our 2021 Chrysler Pacifica perfectly. Our first time out with it for 7 nights was flawless.
We had several questions prior to purchasing. Questions were answered very promptly, friendly service.

I drive a 2020 Honda Fit. Nearly 130k miles, roadtrips, state parks, national parks, I use this thing. As you can imagine, space is limited, and I had been utilizing a foam pad and trying a ton of ways to sleep. That worked, but then I had no rela storage.. everything was cramped.

When I came across the PAW setup I liked it, but was apprehensive about if it was too wide... then guess what happened? The sidekick! I was stoked. I picked up the kit and a mattress.. I ended up ordering a set of 5" legs. I don't have a lot of vertical room, but I still wanted some space underneath for things.

It's been a few months, but finally cool enough here to enjoy some camping. I packed up for a single night to give the sidekick a shot.. and everything worked great! I mean, you can do a testfit in the garage.. but until you actually use it you never know!

Anyway, when Reed says it will FIT in a FIT.. he's not lying! haha! Thanks Reed and Team!

Exped MegaPump

Works as described, is easy to set-up, is comfortable for sleeping. I did end up taking out my seats to provide more storage space but that was a personal choice, nothing to do with the Hideaway. This required me to rig the backend of the Hideaway to provide support and security, since the seats were no longer available to do so. Everything is great!

I purchased this because my house was selling a week before I could get into my new house. I put this in the back of my 4Runner intending to use it just for the time when I was in between homes. My new house ended up being a much bigger project than anticipated and I’ve been sleeping in my 4Runner with a dog and a cat. I sleep so much better with this set up than I did in a regular bed in my house. The word out now is that I’ll still be sleeping with this set up long after the house is done. I’m loving it and my dog and cat are loving it too!

Fantastic mat, very comfortable and fits great on top of the Single Hideaway frame. Buy the exped megapump too, makes inflation and deflation activity effortless!

Been on the lookout for a premade platform that would work with a Honda Fit and I'm really pleased with this one.

Light, braindead to assemble, no screws, packs away small enough to put on a shelf when not in use. Thanks to the frame telescoping past the legs I can even extend it long enough to fit a full size memory foam trifold if I fold down the front seats.

However, if you're a fellow Honda Fit owner (or have a similarly small car), I strongly recommend buying a full set of the 5 inch legs, unless you REALLY care about maximizing storage. With the standard 8 inch legs, there is just barely enough clearance for it to not be uncomfortable, but not enough to sit up even hunched so you might feel a bit cooped up if you're camping in the rain.

With Neuropathy in my legs, sciatic nerve damage, and two injured rotator cuff injuries I should sleep just fine on the ground.

So far, I have only taken my Hideaway on one trip, but I have been very happy with it! I can fit it inside my 2018 Subaru Forrester and I love how I can store things underneath it. I plan to use this to extend my camping into the fall and early winter in the wet and cool Pacific Northwest.

Have been able to have some wonderful camping trips with this Hideaway frame. It is light and easy to put together. It creates the best platform to sleep on (with thick bed pad). Love being able to put things under to store out of the way. It is definitely a game changer for camping. Off to more adventures! Thank you for creating this! I love it!

I bought a trifold mattress, works, but no storage underneath, I bought a cot that was cheaply made and it's shape distorted after a single use and it has too many short criss crossed legs for storage underneath. I bought an interlaced wooden pull out type bed frame that was way too complicated to even put together, and way to heavy anyway! THIS is the answer to all your sleeping and storage issues. Very sturdy, very easy to assemble, very light weight so you can move it, plenty of usable, accessible storage underneath. Don't mess around with other bed frames. Just BUY THIS and be done with it!!! I DID use a thinner trifold mattress on top of this frame and it's perfection! I cannot say enough great things about this product! Luckily I got in on the Kick Starter launch, But this product is worth the money! If you buy other cheaper frames, you will learn the hard way!

We wanted a sleep system for two in our Sienna, but needed it to be super flexible and modular, accommodating the "people mover" format and also the "micro camper for two" format. With simple swap over. This unit fits perfectly as a full sized bed AND easily shifts into a behind the second row seats shelf. Amazing. And it's light, easy to set up, break down. Honestly, I can't think of one thing I'd change. Y'all nailed it with this product. Thank you!

Some minor modifications were made to the trailer. Removed the aluminum frame screens that come standard and put up curtains to accommodate the 72” sleeping pad. The space is 70” wide. The hideaway is a great fit. We managed to sleep like champions for three nights in a 13’ trailer with the platform raised to full height. Earplugs and eyemasks help too! Get one and dig the adventure! Happy travels!
